Service and maintenance
As an e-bike is usually even more complex and often of higher quality than a conventional bike, you should also take good care of it. Regular servicing is important to maintain the value of your investment in the two-wheeled means of transportation.
The inspection must be carried out by a specialist workshop after 1000 kilometers or at the latest after one year from the date of purchase, whichever comes first. If the first service is not carried out on time, the MOUGG Bikes warranty becomes void.
During the first inspection, the e-bike is checked for 41 points. Among other things, the service technicians check the tension of the chain and spokes, the electronics and the function of the brakes.
Why go to a specialist workshop for a bike inspection?
-
Bike is completely checked
Your bike will run smoothly again, increasing your riding enjoyment. -
Specialist workshop has the know-how
A specialist knows all about his work and can also give you a few tips.
The annual inspection
The annual inspection uncovers defects, maintains the function of the bike and thus increases its service life. So why not have your bike checked once? All safety-relevant parts are checked:
This includes the major 10-point bike inspection:
- Frame/fork: Check for defects/cracks/corrosion
- Suspension fork and damper: Check/adjust suspension
- Chain, gears, shift lever: Maintaining and adjusting the drivetrain
- Brakes: Brake check
- Bottom bracket: Check
- Tires and tubes: checking air pressure and tire damage
- Wheels: Visual check for damage to rims and spokes, check the wheel bearing
- Attachments (handlebars, stem, saddle, pedals, mudguards etc.): Check and grease
- Lighting system: Check
