What guarantee does MOUGG offer?

We at MOUGG give a 5-year warranty on the bicycle frame. We have summarized the warranty of individual components for you in the following table:

  • In the following text, we briefly explain the general difference
    between warranty and guarantee, as this is often confused.
    In principle, we grant the statutory
    warranty of 2 years from the date of sale on all items. The seller/dealer is responsible for the warranty. They are also responsible for processing the warranty.

    The warranty is a voluntary service provided by the manufacturer.

  • The warranty only applies to the above-mentioned components; the customer must bear the costs of any necessary add-on parts and wearing parts. Wearing parts such as

    Chain or belt
    Coat and tube
    Sprocket
    Brake pads or brake discs
    Brake fluid
    Rims
    Light bulbs
    Hand grips
    Saddle
    Pedals
    Luggage hangers or straps


    are not part of the warranty.


    The prerequisites for asserting the guarantee are

    • The bike pass attached to the operating instructions has been completed in full and returned to us.
    • Proof of compliance with the inspection intervals defined in the operating instructions


    Warranty for the battery

    Our warranty for the battery guarantees that it will last at least 800 charging cycles or that it will still have at least 70% capacity after 2 years and at least 30% capacity after 5 years. As soon as the charging cycles are exceeded, the warranty expires.


    Repairs and spare parts

    If your MOUGG needs a repair or a problem arises, you can either visit a bike workshop of your choice or use our MOUGG repair service directly. In both cases, however, it is necessary to submit a request in advance via our request form on our website. E-mails or phone calls to make a request will not be accepted.

    How to request a repair or spare parts:

    1. Fill out the request form: All requests for repairs and spare parts, regardless of whether you have the repair carried out yourself or use our MOUGG service, must be made via our online form.
    2. Please wait for our response: We will get back to you as soon as possible after receiving your request. To avoid delays, we ask you to refrain from sending us multiple requests.
    3. For workshop repairs: If you take your MOUGG to a bicycle workshop, we need a written offer from the workshop in advance, which must be submitted using the form.
    4. For MOUGG repair service: If you would like to have the repair carried out directly by us, our team will coordinate the necessary steps with you. We may need to approve spare parts or send a technician to you.
    5. Costs only covered after approval: Regardless of whether you commission a workshop or use our service, all repairs and spare parts must be approved in advance. Without our approval, the costs will not be covered and must be borne by you.
    6. Returning the old parts: After completion of the repair, we ask you to return all replaced old parts to us for inspection if you have the repair carried out in a workshop.
